John Hamilton     John Hamilton, a California CPA since 1980, has over 34 years of public accounting experience. He works primarily with individuals and small businesses, assisting them with income, cash flow matters, estate planning, and other financial services.Prior to co-founding Hamilton, Mercer & Werre, he was a partner with Balser, Horowitz, Frank and Wakeling for 12 years and spent five years with national and international accounting firms, concentrating his services in the areas of taxation for smaller, entrepreneurial size businesses.John is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from California State University Fullerton.Throughout his career, John has also enjoyed working with children – from teaching Sunday School, to coaching his own children in various sports. He and his family are also active in missionary work with children in Russia, having made 10 trips to Russia since 1992. Current missionary work includes working with orphaned children ages three to fifteen. He has two daughters who have completed college and one son in college.
Cheryl Mercer     Cheryl Mercer, CPA Cheryl has been a California CPA since 1988 and has over 24 years public accounting experience. Prior to co-founding Hamilton, Mercer & Werre she had a career in banking for 14 years. She works primarily with individuals, estates and trusts, assisting with income and estate planning, assisting clients with managing their assets and other financial services. As part of her estate and trust services she has become an expert in the fiduciary accounting arena.
Diana Werre     Diana Werre has over 30 years of experience in the accounting field. Prior to co-founding Hamilton Mercer & Werre, for over 20 years she had her own business providing accounting and bookkeeping services. Diana worked for two years at Balser, Horowitz, Frank and Wakeling before she started her own business.She specializes in helping small businesses and individuals establish and implement internal systems to record their financial activity and successfully operate their business. She manages clients finances, helps to manage their offices as an offsite CFO and has had many of the same clients for over 24 years.Diana received her bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from the University of Southern California (USC).She has a married daughter, a son who has graduated from college and two lovely grandchildren.
